Tikkun Olam: Inspired by Benjamin
The Foundation was established in 2006 in memory of Dr Benjamin Angel. The Foundation supports a range of relief, educational, and medical organisations and other charitable causes where its
contributions can make a real difference. In particular, the Foundation supports charitable projects in the Jewish community, in Israel and in the medical field of which the trustees believe Benjamin would have been proud, alongside making donations to a wider range of charities.

On 15 June 2022 Benjamin's name was inscribed on the Wall of Life on Mt Scopus at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
What We Do
The Dr Benjamin Angel Foundation is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping those in need. During 2021 we made charitable donations in three principal areas. First, in support of Jnetics’ programme of education and screening for Jewish genetic disorders. Secondly, our sponsorship of multi-year medical Scholarships at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, that support a diverse group of young people in Israel training as doctors. Thirdly, in support of charities engaged in helping Jews in need in the UK, in the former countries of the Soviet Union and in Israel, through World Jewish Relief, WIZO, and other charities. The Foundation also supports a range of medical and health charities helping children, the elderly and others in need of care and support.

Unfortunately, our funds for 2023 and 2024 are fully committed.
Causes we support
We make donations of around £100,000 in total each year to a range of relief, educational, and medical organisations and other charitable causes where our contributions can make a real difference.
In particular, we support charitable projects in the Jewish community, in Israel and in the medical field of which the trustees believe Benjamin would have been proud, alongside donations to support those in poverty and or in need of disaster relief.

At present our funds are fully committed for 2023 and 2024.
